The Mission Parish Starter Pack initiative was developed to strengthen emerging Orthodox Christian mission parishes by providing essential liturgical resources, practical support, and relational guidance that empower communities to worship, grow, and serve with clarity, stability, and confidence.

Through strategic philanthropy and faithful partnership, the Mission Parish Starter Pack initiative equips new parishes to establish a strong foundation for Orthodox life, leadership, and sacramental ministry. Our institute envisions a future in which every Orthodox mission parish, regardless of size, location, or circumstance, has the capacity to flourish.

we offer mission parish rental assistance on a three-year sliding scale.

The Orthodox Institute for Missions & Development offers a three‑year sliding‑scale rental support program to help emerging mission parishes secure stable, dignified worship and ministry space during their earliest and most vulnerable phase. By easing the financial burden of start‑up costs, this program allows communities to focus on evangelization, pastoral care, and building a strong foundation for long‑term growth.

Support is provided on a decreasing scale—substantial assistance in the first year, continued help as stewardship grows in the second, and final transitional support in the third. Through this structured, time‑limited model, OIMD fosters responsible financial planning, local stewardship, and sustainable parish development while advancing its mission to plant and strengthen Orthodox Christian communities across the country.

Ultimately, this program reflects our long‑term vision: to nurture mission parishes toward stability, independence, and vibrant community life. By offering targeted support during the most formative years, OIMD helps ensure that new Orthodox communities can grow with confidence, clarity, and a strong foundation for future ministry.
